The Money Myths

Taking Manhood Back

The Money Myths

1. Money corrupts people.

Money does not corrupt people but the love of money does.

1Tim. 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

2. Your self worth is equals your net worth.

Your money does not define you. I have rich friends who are so insecure of unsure of themselves because money never defines a person. My worth is defined by what Christ did at the cross for me. I am forgiven, loved and accepted by God. I am a man made to worship Jesus and to enjoy Him forever.

3. Money gives life.

Not true. Some people who have all the money never enjoyed life.

John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Jesus gives life.

4. There will never be enough money.

True if you are greedy. The greedy always says it is not enough. The poor says I want more. I think greed and poverty are related to each other.
