Is it God’s will to restore a relationship no matter how strained it is?

Taking Manhood Back

Is it God’s will to restore a relationship no matter how strained it is?

I’ve been following your podcasts/videos and every time I listen to them, I get fresh revelations about God.  Pastor, is it God’s will to restore a relationship no matter how strained it is? Do you think it’s worth a try?

Thanks very much for your kind feedback. Is it God’s will? Well that is a little hard to answer since I don’t know your situation.

If it is marriage, yes I believe it is God’s will. Marriage is a covenant between you, your spouse and God. It means you put God in the equation. You made a commitment before God that you will stick with each other no matter what. So to answer your question, is ti worth trying to make it work out – absolutely.

Just a piece of advice, as you work it out, get Jesus involved in the process. Only God can restore broken relationships. He is the source of healing for any wound that we incurred in the past.

Now in a context that you are not married, it would be difficult to answer. The right thing to do is to forgive each other but there is no obligation to work it out again to be a romantic relationship.
