Ninong Manny Knows Where Strength Comes From
We can say what we want, but the judge’s had made the decision. They decided that Manny Pacquiao lost. But Manny is not unfazed by the decision. The next day He is seen preaching to 3000 people at Riviera. He knows who is his ultimate strength.
Arnold Schwarzenegger said ,”Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.”
English historian and novelist Arthur Helps said, “Strength is born in the deep silence of long suffering hearts; not amid joy.”
Though all of that is true, what could make you really strong in the midst of defeat and even injustice is not found in our strength. Sadly most men try to get strength from themselves and our strength usually fails us. We cannot find strength in our weakness. We need outside strength to make us strong. And Manny knows.
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. – King David, Psalm 28:7
