Crafting Character, Casting Vision
Character and vision go hand in hand, because a man’s vision comes directly from his character. And casting your personal vision is essential. Your vision is your compass – it will keep you headed in the right direction when the temptations of the world try to push you off course.
A vision for one’s life isn’t just a goal or a milestone as in “I want to go to college” or “I want to be on the team” or “I want to get the promotion.” It’s about setting in concrete who we are. A solid foundation for a man might include these statements:
” I believe in God.”
“I believe there’s a difference between right and wrong.”
“I believe that there is universal truth.”
“I believe that I’m created in God’s image.”
These are the core values by which a man needs to live.
