Daddy Dates: One Tagaytay Place Hotel Suites
One of the major challenges for a father is to find a place where he could bring his family on his day off for some family activities, recreation and memory building. In Metro Manila, one of the usual option is the mall but this year Thammie and I decided to be more adventurous with our family and daddy dates and find other places where family can go and have a good time.
Our first trip this year is just a leisure two hour drive to Tagaytay City. Tagaytay is known for it’s cool weather, great food and Taal Volcano.
You can actually have a boat ride and go to the crater of Taal Volcano.
Our trip to Tagaytay was very timely since we have been very busy the past month moving to our new place and needed to have some peace and quiet environment as a family. My daughters and I also came from a flu so the clean air of Tagaytay was a timely treat for us.
On this trip, our family stayed in One Tagaytay Place Hotel Suites and we sure where glad to have chosen to stay in this hotel. We were greeted by the very friendly and courteous staff once we entered the hotel lobby. It was FIVE STAR treatment the moment we entered the hotel.
Look who’s happy with our Welcome Drinks and Food served in our Room?
One Tagaytay Place Hotel Suites has a total of 120 rooms. 115 cozy air-conditioned guestrooms, with categories comprising of Deluxe Rooms and One-Bedroom Suites and 5 Penthouse rooms that can accomodate big family. We were blessed to stay in one of their Penthouse rooms for this trip – a one bedroom suite perfect for a family of four.
One of the things I look forward to is a comfortable bed where I can crash during vacations. The bed in One Tagaytay Place Hotel Suites is very very very comfortable. For those who are particular with hotel beds, One Tagaytay Place Hotel has one of the best!
The Hotel also provided a playpen/crib for Isaiah. When I learned that they have a play pen I knew right away that this hotel was family friendly.
Bathrooms are AWESOME! It’s clean and spacious.
We also asked the hotel manager if we could take a peek on the other rooms in the Penthouse and their Deluxe Rooms.
The Deluxe Double Room. Smaller in size but still the same feel.
The Deluxe Twin Room
The Living Room of the Three Bedroom Suite. You can hold private parties in their Suite. Alyanna and Mika told me after that for our next stay can we get the three bedroom suite. I said sure why not if it’s free!
All rooms have an LCD TV with premium cable channels, mini bar, and free Wi-Fi access. Other in-room amenities consist of a coffee/tea maker, daily newspaper, and safe. A DVD player, microwave oven, and IDD/NDD phone with voicemail can be provided on request.
The fitness center which has a complete set for your workout.
The swimming pool is overlooking Laguna and some parts of Tagaytay. It is so relaxing just to hang out in the pool enjoying the cool breeze of Tagaytay.
OUR FOOD EXPERIENCE in Azalea
With every family vacation FOOD is of utmost importance. We tried Azalea, the restaurant inside One Tagaytay Place Hotel Suite and we were happy and satisfied diners.
We arrived at around 1pm in Tagaytay so we had a late lunch. The waiter told us to order their original and famous Tawilis Pizza.
The famous Tawilis Pizza
Pwedeng Maglaway! Promise it is delicious.
Even Isaiah wanted some Tawilis Pizza
Of course Tagaytay weather + Kare Kare is the perfect Combination
Nag Kare-Kare ka na rin, mag order na rin ng Bulalo Soup.
For dinner, we tried Azalea’s famous weekend Mongolian Eat All You Can Buffett.
For only P350 you will be FULLY satisfied. Here is how you eat Mongolian Style.
Pick your choice of pork, beef, seafood
Then choose your Vegetable toppings
Then choose your Sauce combination
Then eat like a Mongolian.
Pag naumay ka dahil sa katakawan, order a banana split after. Perfect!
For our breakfast buffett, we had:
Tagaytay’s famous Danggit
Chicken and beans which was very delicious
And for the cereal lovers, they have Koko Crunch and Corn Flakes.
The Hotel is like a one stop shop. In front of the hotel is a BPI ATM, a 7/11 convenience store, there is a restaurant inside, a spa place, Rowena’s Souvenir store that sells the famous Buko Pie and Tarts and even an art gallery. You can also have functions for weddings, debuts and church retreats. The Hotel is also located near people’s park and Tagaytay Higlands. The side where the hotel is situated is in the quieter side of Tagaytay so it is definitely a plus for those wanting peace and quiet away from Manila.
One Tagaytay Place Hotel Suites is definitely a place that I will highly recommend everyone to try. The service is 5 star, the food is great, the staff are the friendly and helpful and the BED is amazing. I asked my kids if they want to come back again and they said YES!
