Ladies love talking about men. From what our ideal types are to what we love and hate about men. We talk about what we expect them to do for us and what we expect them to be. I heard that having a (long) list of characteristics you would want your future husband to have helps “narrowing” down who “the one” is. I learned in the long run that it’s a ridiculous list. No one is perfect but praise God, His ways are always pure and perfect.
Talking about men may reduce women to a pile of blushing mush, speaking to them is a different matter. It makes us pause and think, “What do women really want the men in our lives to know?” What actually happens in a woman’s brain is, translating that question into the statement, “What I really want men to know.”
I want you to lead.
I want you to find a good job with a nice salary.
I want you to be patient.
I want you to understand.
God has made me realized that we, women, sometimes fall into the trap of molding the men in our lives into the image that we want them to be for the sake of our comfort and needs.
God has made men to be so much more. So let us all push aside our self-centered expectations and thank God for every opportunity to speak to the men in His kingdom.
Men, we, women, want you to know that…
Men, You are Strong!
I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one. – 1 John 2:14b, NKJV
You are strong.
You are strong because the word of God is alive, active, burning within you. When you think you do not know what to do or how to do things, the Word of God is your sword.
You are strong.
You are strong because you have been given the capability to step into the place with God’s authority over you. So speak life, proclaim His word because He has made you strong and able.
Men, You have Overcome!
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” – 1 John 4:4, NKJV
You have overcome.
You win in every circumstance because the Spirit who is in you is the very Spirit of the Living God who has silenced the enemy at the Cross. The Spirit who is in you is greater than any offense, hurt, wound or defect. Jesus has overcome the enemy by the power of His blood so that you can rise above any circumstance in your life.
You have overcome. And you will also help others to overcome.
Men, We are your Partners.
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.” – 1 John 1:1-4, NKJV
Together, we testify of the Father’s great love for the lost. We have are tied together by His blood for the advancement of His kingdom on earth. The kingdom we have received is unshakable (Hebrews 12:28) and let us with all boldness and in holy reverence come to the Throne of Grace.
We are your partners in declaring His will to be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Together, let us build His house. Together, we are stronger.
