What Inspires You
You have a choice. We live in a world today where people settle to do things according to what others want them to do. Every day they go to work feeling down because they know it is not what they are supposed to be doing.
I had two similar experiences in the past. I was being groomed to take over the family business. They pay was good, the load wasn’t as heavy and success is inevitable BUT I knew it wasn’t where God called me. I had to fight the feeling of forcing myself to work everyday. I am not saying they were wasted years because it did help build my character and my discipline but to prolong the agony of going to work – I knew I had to do something about it.
When I left the business, I went into something I was passionate about and saw myself working long term. I was in a job I knew I could add more value to the people I serve. It’s been 11 years and I am still working on the same organization. My character and discipline continues to grow and so are the opportunities to serve more people.
